Get ready to up-cycle & bling your unused clothes with self-confessed ‘Queen of Bling,’ Wiradjuri designer Kristy Dickinson of Haus of Dizzy. Kristy’s jewellery celebrates and honours First Nations culture. Her use of vibrant colour, glitter and powerful words make a bold statement and bring a sense of joy to everyone who wears her pieces. Join us at Haus of Dizzy for our up-cycling workshop, where creativity meets sustainability! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to breathe new life into your old clothes using a range of exciting materials and techniques. Inspired by Haus of Dizzy’s vibrant and bold designs, you’ll have the chance to transform second-hand or no-longer-used garments into unique, personalised pieces of wearable art.
Key Elements of the Workshop:
DTF Images & Heat Press: Add vibrant, detailed designs to your clothing with the help of DTF transfers and a heat press.
Fabric Paint: Get creative with fabric paints to add your own personal touch to your garments.
Iron Patches: Customise your clothing with a variety of fun and quirky patches.
Gems: Bedazzle your items with a selection of sparkling gems for that extra shine
Badge making: Colour & paint your own custom badges that can be added to anything to make your clothes & accessories pop.
*All customisation tools & materials are provided*
Participants must bring:
1 garment from home per person to upcycle , this may include : A jacket , pants , hoodie , t-shirt , hat.
